Bible Explorer

An educational programme (10 one hour lessons) taught in schools to children in Key Stage 2 years 5 & 6. The aim is to teach children the storyline of the Bible – the big picture – it is non-denominational, non-confessional and non-conversionary. Bible Explorer trains Christians to take their materials into local schools using storytelling, drama, videos, multi-media and more to ensure that all learning types connect with the subject matter.

Lifepath

A Scripture Union project to help Christians in local communities organise an event to which they can invite local schools. It aims to give Junior school pupils the opportunity to explore the Christian faith through the lifepath of a well-known historic Christian with a link to the location and to use this as a springboard to encourage them to reflect on their own lifepath.

One Way Experience

An interactive exhibition which explores the life of Jesus Christ, in a fresh and different way, best suited for junior school children or secondary RE pupils.  Normally hosted in a church, groups travel through the experience, discovering some exhibits and stories for themselves while at certain places story tellers will interact with the pupils.

Prayer spaces in schools

Prayer Spaces In Schools enable children and young people to explore faith and spirituality from a broadly Christian perspective in a safe, creative and interactive way. A range of flexible resources can be adapted to work for participants aged 5 to 18 bringing an experiential dimension to a variety of subject areas and to pastoral aspects of school life.

Aiming to see the spiritual development and religious education of school pupils enhanced by creative engagement with people of faith from their local community in an educational framework, REinspired encourages and equips churches through training and mentoring programmes, proven lesson plans and resources, and by building a network of local projects able to support each other.

The Bible in Literacy

Lessons that provide pupils with an overview of the Bible, both Old & New Testaments. Selected pieces of text from a storyline of the Bible are utilised for various activities relating to literacy work.

The LIFE Exhibition

A multi-media experience which focuses on the life of Jesus. The exhibition is hosted by a local church who invite Key Stage 2 schoolchildren – years 5 and 6, to visit during the day. In the evening, LIFE is usually open to the general public.
