ifting the Lid was a Children Matter project taking place from 2021 – 2023, exploring the FaithFull Generation concept in depth.

Faithfull Generation suggests that that children that are growing in faith and most likely to remain committed to church in adulthood will have experienced COMMUNITY: a thriving, intergenerational church and a family where faith is nurtured, ENCOUNTER: the opportunity to connect with the big story of the Bible and meet with the living Jesus, DIALOGUE: being able to talk about and live out their faith in peer groups and being supported by mentors and the church family, MILESTONES: having the chance for peak experiences and celebrating key moments in their life and spiritual journey, ACTION: being given the chance to be participants in church life and mission and respond to the world with compassion.

For each aspect, the Biblical imperative, current issues, known good resources, and areas where more input is needed were discussed by an invited Think Tank of thinkers and practitioners and Forums were put on to enable a wider group to join the discussion.  

This series of PDF documents, each containing links to video content, contains the details of the Think Tank discussions and the content of the Forums, including links to videos of the forum speakers. They do not reach neat conclusions, but contain thought-provoking material that may make you question the way you are ministering in your setting.
